Cinnamon Popcorn


Sweet crunchy snack with that cinnamon kick. Makes a wonderful holiday gift!
Recipe makes 4-5 servings.

Ingredients

15 cups popped corn
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 c corn syrup
15 drops cinnamon oil
Red food coloring
1/2 tsp baking soda

Instructions

9X13 pan - grease or line with parchment paper. Pour the popcorn into pan, set aside. Pre-heat oven to 200 F.
In a medium saucepan - mix sugar, butter, corn syrup, cinnamon oil and enough food color to make syrup mixture bright pink.
Cook and stir over medium heat until syrup bubbles around edge and sugar is dissolved. (about 5 minutes)
Take off heat and stir in baking soda, mix will become foamy.
Pour over the popcorn, mix well to coat.
Bake at 200 F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 min. Cool completely, break up clumps, and store in an airtight container or gift bag.
